Clark that is my point. I’m not seeing that adjustment. I’m still seeing a guy that want’s to pull everything. My question was: If we let the guy play the rest of the season everyday and he ends up a .260 hitter/12 HR…So so defense: At what point do you say you have seen enough? 1 more year another 2 years?

There’s nothing wrong with Gordon that 15 doubles per year to the opposite field wouldn’t fix. Now, if he is ever willing/able to make that adjustment is the real question.
Bottom line, upon Getz’s return, Alex has to play everyday. Whether it is in KC or Omaha, I’m not sure I care one way or the other.

Gordon’s 2008 year he showed good development – 66 BB (+24 from his rookie year) 120K’s (-17) .260/.351/.432 (all significantly up from his rookie year).

If he can just recapture that form and then build on it just a little, he’d be a very solid player (i.e. Joe Randa with marginally more power).

Just wondering at what point do we call Gordon a bust? For the last couple years it is the same thing when I watch him. And to be honest, I’m not so sure he is all that good on defense. Each year we say what do the Royals need to be successful and everytime “Gordon to have a break out year is at the top of the list.” We are going to send him back to the minors where he will rake as always and then back to the big league club where he can’t hit above .250. I just think that if he was going to be the player we thought he would be, we would have seen it already or at least some signs of improvement. I guess my biggest issue is that he doesn’t seem to be getting any better from year to year.

anyone know how i can lodge a complaint to MLB about Greg Gibson? whether we would have come back is irrelevant. whether he is tired and wet is irrelevant. he has a job to do and should be suspended. please advise.

I actually kind of like CL’s suggestion. We were a horrible defensive team last year and, even with the new acquisitions, we don’t look much better. We only need to carry 7 piss-poor relievers. I say, let Guillen hobble around RF; have Kila DH vs RHP and Callaspo DH vs. LHP. Callaspo can replace Gordon at 3B vs. LHP sometimes giving Kila 5+ starts a week. Aviles, Yuny, and Getz can share the middle infield AB’s similar to the way Scioscia utilizes Aybar, Kendrick, and Maicer Izturis.

wow ghost. Crow had 1 bad outing and 1 below average outing. Both games he gave up too many homeruns. Your sarcasm sounds like you think its the end of the world for Crow. He needs some time to adjust. He’ll (probably) be fine.
