Jason Kendall.

On a pace to have over 600 plate appearances, drive in 30 runs, and have all of 30 extra base hits. 30!!! The Royals could quite literally grab some guy off the street that could do better. He should be able to do better than that by accident.

Singing his praises is laughable since he is the epitome of long list of things wrong with the Royals. You can't have a black hole like this in your lineup, even if he catches like Johnny Bench

About to turn 36 and on a pace to catch 160 games! Are you kidding?

Definitely a gamer and a good clubhouse guy, though

Camel - If Moustakas gets called up to AAA at some point, then yes I give him a look in September with KC. Not sure if they will make that move, however.

One point on Derrick Robinson - he changed his batting stance BACK to his pre-draft stance (after the Royals had him go to a more open stance) and that is when he started to hit. I guess the credit, at least on the hitting front, probably goes to Derrick, not the coaching (although allowing him to do so counts for something).

* Anyone who say “yesterdays game proves…” doesn’t know sh** about baseball because 1 game proves nothing ...

Wow, that's pretty strong, there, bud. Are you working in a MLB front office somewhere?

I respect that you have an opinion, but I think you need to remember that ALL of us who post on this site are just a bunch of hacks ... including you.

I appreciate blocked balls as much as anyone but man a few of us are really thin slicing data, since when is blocking balls the only stat worth citing for a catcher? Basically there remains a large percentage of the fanbase that just takes in whatever the Royals dispense at face value. We may be the least informed fan base in MLB and we just tolerate these political spins because that's the way it's always been. That's America we handle politics the same way, latch on to a single idea and exploit the meaning and value of it to promote something has has nothing to do with the actual problem. True reporting is stating facts, forming opinions based on what research tells us and by gosh challenging us with other side of the coin arguments. This site maybe viewed as negative (I would argue these are the true Royals fans) but it simply reflects the team. Sites like this don't just talk about players but thinking of the organziation and how that has to change if the long term prospects will ever hope to change. Kendal vs Olivo is not the argument it's what resources are spent on what level of talent. Anyone who say "yesterdays game proves..." doesn't know sh** about baseball because 1 game proves nothing, just continue to listen to AM talk radio or go to that ridiculous Lee Judge site and live in 1950's ignorant bliss.
