So, since Zack Greinke lost 1-0, and he’s a pretty good hitter and obviously nobody else on the team gives a rip about hitting when he’s pitching, is it time to petition the league to make a change to the DH rule? I think when Greinke pitches, he should get to hit, and the DH just runs the bases for him. Then he’ll be less likely to lose 1-0, since there will be one motivated hitter in the lineup.

That’s what Erickson is saying. I don’t know how much interest there is, but a little is all it takes. Why hold up legitimate prospects who Royals need to see what they can do at major-league level? I can’t imagine that Guillen can increase value much, as the longer he’s here the less he is able to help someone else.

BigLee is he saying there is interest and the Royals won’t pull the trigger? I always assumed no one was biting on the contract or maybe Glass won’t swallow enough of the contract

This is from Jeff Erickson of Yahoo: “Every day that they wait to trade away Jose Guillen(notes) lessens his value and their potential return for him.” Even with injuries, Royals have guys in Omaha (Gordon, Kila) who need a chance in the majors. Another Erickson quote: “That the Royals can’t find a way to get Alex Gordon(notes) (.370/.511/.699 at Triple-A Omaha since his demotion there) into their lineup is just appalling.”

I think we have better rotation- and V mart makes Jose look like Carl lewis with the arm of Johnny Damon er Jesus.

Yes the Royals have a bridge right now. With Tejeda history says all or nothing. It comes down to command and can he consistently maintain it. He’s been brilliant in stretches before and then for 2 weeks he’ll be horrific and miss everything. I don’t think he can start and every appearence suggests more command consistency so cross fingers. Wood I like as well, don’t know if he’s a star but I just want ML average for starters. I was worried from the minors he would be wild so far so good. So with 3 solid relievers now do we need 13 pitchers anymore?
