I think Dejesus would look very attractive to the Red Sox right now, as three of their outfielders are hurt and the healthy guy is J.D. Drew, so that's not likely to last.

Good point about moving Tejeda.

Charlie Manual is upset with Jayson Werth. I wouldn't give up Soria or Greinke for him, but about anyone else the Phillies might want (including Gordon) should be on the table for discussion. Wouldn't it be nice to have a RF like Werth, even if he has some warts? Other posters have mentioned Werth before, but what do we know in cyberspace?

I think you might be missing one of the most attractive trade candidates -- Robinson Tejeda. He is pitching lights out right now and teams like to deepen their bullpen at the trading deadline. From the Royals perspective, he is going into his second arb year and is going to be getting expensive for what he brings to the table.

why is callapso hitting .277 untouchable? callapso is exactly the one they should trade and move Gordon back to third where he belongs. are we lowering our standards for the #5 position in the batting order when we post that Guillen hitting .246 is decent. Since when is .246 decent for that spot in the order. it's horrendous in my book. something losers do.

I think two of the Royals' top three trade candidates are in AAA: Gordon and Kai'hue. Both seem not long for this team, and both have skill sets that might interest other teams. I could see a swap like the Callaspo for Buckner trade (huge win for KC, by the way, and for everyone who assumes that DM gets taken all the time). Or maybe they could get the Mets to trade Fernando Martinez for Gordon...Minaya makes horrible trades all the time and he might have forgotten how he got taken in the Burgos/Bannister trade.

Not certain that the big league club has anything to offer another team, or, at least, no one we could live with giving up.

Latest rumor has Bannister on the block to St. Louis. Hmmm. I'd rather trade Davies given a choice between the two, since Bannister is under team control for 2012 and Davies only til 2011.

I agree with the idea that Podsednik could be an attractive piece to somebody.

You can't keep Gordon down in AAA too much longer, no matter what GMDM says about his swing. That would be a mortal sin. He's going to force the Royals to move their hand on either DeJesus, Podsednick, or Ankiel.

As for Soria... he won't be traded this year... but if Coleman, Hardy, and the gang arrive in the Bigs sometime soon and carry over their stellar numbers the Royals could get an impact bat in return for Soria. I don't know. I still wouldn't trade Soria though.

Bannister will go to the Cubs where he will pitch nothing but day games.
