I think the Royals are going to pick up DeJesus’ option for 2011, so I don’t know that his free agent status type is necessarily going to be a big factor now. It could come into play for trade deadline/post 2011.

I was going to include Tim Collins in the discussion but it gets back to the ‘is it worth making a roster move?’ question. At age 20, there is no rush with Collins, and the Royals might be better served to sift through older prospects/dead weight this September.

The Royals can do whatever they want with the pitchers, I don’t care. On the position players I want them to let Gordon and Kila play everyday. Leave DDJ on the DL. This doesn’t leave much room for an extra OFer with Blanco playing everyday in CF. Maier, Betemit, and Aviles might end up sitting more than they would like in September.

I don’t remember where I read it, but I saw that DeJesus needs to get back in games to keep his numbers up — so he can maintain his Type A free agent status.

I’ll be more than happy with Jordan Parrazz getting a few games & i think Jai Miler has not looked one bit out of place so that might be the fillip that was needed to give these other young lads a chance!

Lucas,Lough along with Clark & Thorman of the older brigade are the ones i’d like to see up given the chance….

how about Tim Collins? he is not in the 40-man roster and I’m not gonna mad if he call up next June or July somethind. but I am really curious how this guy handle big league hitter.

Like you said, most of the moves that certainly will happen are pretty boring. We will see Meche out of the pen, and probably a couple of starts from Hoch and Banny. I would like to see what Fields has to offer. Would a platoon of Fields and Betemit work at 3rd until Moustakas is ready? I would like to see one of the outfielders, but I think they would be right in giving Blanco, Gordon, and Maier their shots. An easy roster spot could be to drop Bloomquist. A look at Hardy, Coleman, Anderson, or Collins would be nice too.
