In fact, I would support DFA’ing Kendall, Melky and O’Sullivan. Tejada would be a better emergency starter than O’Sully.

I was bored so I made the updated family tree myself, for the whole 40 man roster (since no 25 man is set and because it’s more interesting). It currently sits at 42 people of course. I fixed the Scott Podsednik/Kyle Farnsworth mix-up in the Chavez/Blanco trade.

I like Texiera the best just for potential and stuff actually, I also don’t see a spot for maier anymore and he might catch on as a 4th OF some where else

There are still a few options out there to DFA. Texeira, Chavez, and Hughes are right there at the top. Maier and blanco are two extra outfielders that could also be gone. Adcock probably doesn’t make the opening day roster so he could be offered back. I like the way the roster is coming together. And they will have to cut a few more once moustakas, hosmer, Coleman, hardy, Duffy, and Monty push their way on to the team.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they offered Adcock back to free up his spot. As it stands right now, he would seem to be far down the depth chart. It’s one thing to take a flyer and hope to strike gold again, but there are some guys on there that can help the club now and in the future and I don’t have a lot of confidence in GMDM’s judgement as far as they are concerned.

I agree. But I would like to toss more names out. Adcock, Pucetas, Blanco,
Adcock, a rule V is unlikely to make the opening day roster, (I am not sure he can make the Omaha roster) He will have to be offered back to Pirates anyway.

Pucetas, I do not know much about him. Is he out of options? He does have a chance to be a right handed starter in Omaha.

Gordan, Cabrera, Francouer appear to be getting first deebs on the outfield. IMO, Maier appears to be be a better 4th OF than Blanco. Dyson, Crain, D Robinson, Lough should get playing time before Blanco in Omaha.

I would encourage Adcock and Texiera be DFA.
