I agree with that specific correlation. However bad starting pitching usually gets through fewer innings and then the bullpen is forced to pitch more and will ahve an increased ERA. It’s not a direct result, but an indirect result..usually.

On the flip side, if you have good starting pitching, they will last deeper into the games which will lead you to have to use your worst bullpen pitchers less often. That should lead to a better bullpen ERA because a higher % of innigns go to better pitchers.

Three games don’t really tell us much about anything though. Too few to matter.

The better the starting pitching, the better the bullpen?? Absolutely not. If that was true, Tejeda shouldn’t have given up a homerun and Soria shouldn’t have given up FOUR runs… because the starting pitching was good today. That logic just doesn’t work.

you have to watch whatever the slingbox is hooked up to. But you can plug a cable into an old tv or even an old vcr and plug the slingbox into it.

How does the slingbox work? Let’s say my wife is watching The Bachelor. Can I watch the Royals game on my laptop/phone/etc remotely at the same time or does the home TV have to be tuned to the Royals for me to get it? Any info is appreciated.

If you know someone in the Royals viewing area, then buy a slingbox and put it at their house.

In general I like the mlb.tv product. But there’s also the extra innings package via your cable provider.

J-Rock – There is a point where a bullpen gets more innings and loses effectiveness. If that weren’t the case then no team would have a starting rotation. Where that point is, I’m not sure. It’s different for each team and pitcher, but that point exists.

I live within the Royals market but not within FSKansas City, and there are no options for me to get Royals games on tv, and I can’t even watch games via internet without a proxy server. I think it’s tough luck until baseball changes it’s television deals.

Sorry Nick….but once again the Royals had bad starting pitching (6 runs, 5 earned, in 6 innings) and perfect relief pitching (0 runs in 6 innings). Like I said before…bad starting pitching DOES NOT mean the bullpen will perform badly. The more innings our bullpen gets, the better they look.

Just canceled mlb.tv; now in a Royals blackout. Actually, I am in a baseball blackout because there are no longer any games on broadcast television. Sad. Maybe I will have to start watching football again. At least the Chiefs are getting better, not that their games are ever broadcast here in MN. Damn it.
