I was in favor of sending Davies back out there. In general we should use these guys (starters) as much as possible within reason. Yost commented about how great it was that Davies and Adcock were able to give the pen a rest and I agree. however to paraphrase ‘it gave wood and crow a good rest, you don’t want those guys having to go all the time or back to back’. no mention of the fact that collins came in for a back to back and that he pitches seemingly every game. it appears i’m going to have to get used to odd bullpen management and equally odd quotes.

Typing too quickly…Wilson played first a couple of nights ago. How was his play? Can’t take too much away from one game, but I read that he’s played more at 1B than any other position.

I don’t. Davies, like Hoch, is a five or, at most, six inning pitcher, so we should celebrate if they get five innings and two runs scored, then bring Adcock in to pitch two or three innings twice a week. You have to manage what you have, not what you hope for.

What I find ironic, mostly from facebook fans, is that everyone thinks what Jones did was cheating. 1) It wasn’t, there is a rule and he took advantage of it and 2) Had it been Melky that did the same thing all Royals fans were be claiming it was the greatest decision since slicing bread. I am a Royals fan, and when I saw the play and the first thing I thought when Jones put his hands in the air (He should have waved like he just don’t care) was that hey he took advantage of a rule to help his team win.

Okay…you’re asking me to choose between Kila and Getz? That’s like asking me to choose between constipation and diarrhea. Both are bothersome and problematic. There is no lesser of two evils.
