@aitgoesit, I am not sure if I would notice anyone other than GMDM if I saw him in public and definitely wouldn’t recognize any of the scouts haha. But I would love to see Hillman coach in Boston just so those over the top fans realize that it was the manager that was the problem this year it was the fact that during the off season they decided to over pay for an (In my opinion) overrated Carl Crawford when they could have used a pitcher. But hey they still have what 3 more years with Lackey! Maybe by the end of that contract he could have an ERA under 5.00. Hahaha I love rooting against the Red Sox.

As ironic as this is being that I live on the east coast, GMDM and his scouting director were on my connecting flight from KC to Phoenix, so they are busy doing something productive. And kudos to them for saving money and flying Southwest with the rest of us schmucks (and actually indulging my conversation for a brief couple minutes before boarding). They said they were going down to look at some pitchers. Nice guys. I’m going to have trouble berating them on this blog now…
What shocked me is I think I was the only person in the airport (KC AIRPORT!!) who knew who they were.
Given the Rays attendance last night, maybe the owner will sell us David Price, too.

The only interesting thing about post-season is watching the ex-Royals getting post-season experience. As much as we disliked Betancourt and Bloomquist, they were starting at shortstop for a playoff team … go figure.

As for Boston thinking about hiring Hillman and the late season trade for Mike Aviles – makes you think that Allard Baird has major influence in Boston … go figure.
