I'm not sure Mike Maddux will leave Texas. Why would you leave a team that was just in the world series? Yes I am assuming they make it. Mike probably won't leave, but would Greg?

That was a nice piece over at 1-70. Very detailed. I don't understand why Wood and Collins were used so much. I think that SB are more valuable than the "advanced" stats give them credit for. I don't know about you guys, but if they are in the low to mid 70% range then they are a positive.

The only thing that would be wrong with having Laffey on the 40 man is if he is blocking someone that needs to be protected. Luckily there isn't much that needs to be protected. I think Sisk, and maybe Hardy are the only two that HAVE to be added to be protected from the Rule 5. But if I'm missing somebody, let me know.

Your Laffey analysis matched my thinking exactly. Why not claim somebody when you get a chance - your not promising him a 2012 roster spot, not even a spring training invite. He gives Dayton options in the off-season.

The best part of the signing was the release of Jesse - never thought much of his ability. So if Laffey holds #40, my bottom roster slots are: (guys who are likely to be bumped for a variety of reasons).
#40 Laffey (insurance policy)
#39 Francis (free agency)
#38 Chen (free agency)
#37 Getz (not versatile enough to be backup)
#36 Bianchi (others have passed him)
#35 Maier (out of options, make room for Cain)
#34 Dyson (better offensive OF options)
#33 CRobinson (blocked player, traded late in spring training)

What is your bottom list?
