@Micah-I think the injury concerns are too high to consider starting him again. It’s a nice proposition, especially considering his stuff, but his arm just can’t seem to take to the starter’s role. Now, if they think they can successfully transition him back to starter, and keep him healthy, well they should definitely do that. Maybe if he were to put a little weight on, I recall him being very slender, especially for someone dialing it up to 3 digits on the gun, he could make the jump back to the rotation.

So is there any chance of him ever moving back to the starter role? I understand the whole elbow issue thing but if he already has three solid pitches it seems like he would have a better chance of success in the starter role than Crow. I’ve heard they want to try Crow out as a starter. I don’t really know much at all about this Herrera kid, but this is what popped into my head. Anybody have any thoughts on that?

Hey at least the royals aren’t throwing money away, the new closer the Mets just got was 12 mil over 2 years for someone not really that good where as we got broxton for only four mil and a whole lot more upside, all around the royals seem to be making good decisions.

The good part of the process is when the Royals go into the season with eyes on winning the division. I don’t think Moore is done, but if he is then we are not yet to the good part of the process.

Seems like quite a few changes in the bullpen to start the year this year despite how well the group of youngsters did last year. With so many young guys with options left, I suspect there will be many guys spending time on both the Royals and Omaha rosters – Kelvin included.

This is the good part of the process – where guys have to earn their roster spot because there will be somebody ready to replace you. The other benefit will be at trade deadline time when teams will be looking for relief help – we’ll be able to win some trades.

I think our bullpen looks like a bad bunch of dudes. It seems as though DM is taking the blueprint from the STL WS win and applying it to our team. Still, I think we can part with Soria and a prospect for some type of a front of the rotation starter. The only question now is, who’s left to acquire? With Cahill and Latos gone, I’m not sure I’m excited about anyone left, Gio included.

Herrera, Holland, and Broxton bridging to Soria should cover a little more of the shortfall from our six inning starters. Kelvin Herrera looks real.
