That being said; I do agree the proofreading idea would really put you over the top Fosler. Please keep the articles coming you're an interesting writer.

The fact the Royals sent Nate to the Arizona Fall League, would suggest they think he can pitch on the major league level at some point in his career. Nate's AFL stats were roughly better than average going against elite prospects:
W/L 2 2
ERA 4.44
GS/IP 6 24.1
W/SO 4 23
WHIP 1.27

I'm still excited about the Omaha rotation - they should at times have some combination of Duffy, Monty, Jake, Adcock, Teaford, Crow, Mendoza, SOS, VinMaz,(others???). When was the last time, the Royals had eight guys in AAA who could be called up for a spot/emergency start that wouldn't be embarassing (obviously VinMaz was listed last for obvious reason, obviously...)

Daniel - good catch. However, as I started to change it, I stopped. Perhaps nothing describes the seeming commonality of Adcock's pitches than describing his slider as coming in at 86-86 mph!

On the playing side I'm gutted that Melky has gone,it makes it a lot easier that he has gone for all the right reasons cause boy do we need quality pitching but not only did he make watching the Royals a real joy for myself last year but he was able to replace Willie Bloomquist in my Royal affections (no easy task, ironically two players who performed above expectations for the Royals & didnt get the appreciation deserved from the good folks of kansas City!Who is the next candidate for that iniquitous honour? Louis Coleman perhaps?)!

I'm happy enough about Sanchez (he's consistent),though not sure about Broxton (he has cost me a bundle of money blowing Dodger games) & as to the decision to not renew Frank White's contract i would have started with Lefebre & Goldberg (two boys who be better suited covering the Weather & not baseball),i am fortunate enough to get access to the oppositions broadcaster & always make a point of doing so ,Fox Sports Kansas City are just amateurish by comparison of which Franks endless childish giggling was an example of....

Of all the fresh faces i am particurlarly interested in Juan Guttierez who i did a write up about around three years ago in our "One's to watch for the future" thread on our British baseball website after watching him a couple of times playing for the old Tuscan Sidewinders, very dominant & very powerfull, hope he hasnt lost it to TJ surgery as otherwise we will have found a GEM!

Once again great to be back,LETS GO ROYALS

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE FROM NORTHERN IRELAND!!!

You might want to revise that. ;)

Every year i promise myself i will finish the season on schedule & every year i fail, this time i do have the valid reason of my wife's illness as the mitigating circumstance but the fact is once you go about five days behind in September living away from the US media & being able to watch matches on-demand the temtation to hold back & savour te remaining few games of the season till later in the year is too hard to resist.

The downside of this of course is not being able to visit this site in case of spoilers so the first thing i did after watching our failure to give the Twins there 100th defeat of 2011 last week was catch up on three months of ROYALS AUTHORITY!

AS this coincided with the Christmas holiday season i'd like to thank Craig,Clark & Nick as well as all the posters (especially Jim,Kyle,DanL,Greg & Ted) for making my holidays a truly Royals one!
