Pine Tar Press looks at all sorts of players in the Royal's system, good information, handy at cocktail parties to show encyclopedic knowledge of prospects and dark horses and young studs, guaranteed to impress young hotties:

I guess it's risk aversion, but I've never why the Royals don't trade AWAY a top pitching prospect every now and again. For example: I would think Moore and his team could look at the four LHPs: Montgomery, Dwyer, Lamb (injury notwithstanding), and Duffy, come to a consensus on who has the best chance of success, and seek a trade to get some good value out of the 1 or 2 they think might end up in the bullpen or never be front line contributors... Hopefully the answer is not that they believe they will all be AllStars.

Good to hear Gordon is back. They will figure out a 4-5 year deal in the 40-55mil range. And I like it.

MLB's list is AWFUL. Why is Colon still listed in the top 10, and where is Bonifacio? Monty a little low on BP, and a little high on BA. I still have high hopes for Lamb when he is healthy and Dwyer this coming season.
