Why is Hosmer still in the major leagues? The Hawaiian guy hit a lot better than this. And as for Gordon pay attention and you will see that he gets his rbi’s when they don’t really matter, but when an important situation come up he folds like an accordian.

Glad to see Mazzaro go down. That guy scares the crap out of me every time he is on the mound. Of course so does most of the rest of the Royals staff (with the exception of Paulino and Chen).

I think the speculation over Myers is a bit overblown. He is going to be in AAA for several months. Earliest call up is Aug I would think – and that is if he continues to pound the ball. Maybe he goes through an adjustment period like he did at AA. Who knows. Ideally, he gets the call in Aug/Sept time frame and is able to play regularly for the last month or so.

I am more excited about Odorizzi to be honest. This team needs good SP so badly. Let’s hope he can continue to progress at AAA and maybe we get to see what he can do for the last 6 weeks of the season or so.

Feels like Adcock earned a couple starts in lieu of Mazzaro. As long as we’re cycling pitchers during Sanchez’s absence, why not give all the “long relievers” a shot to win Duffy’s job permanently.
Point could be made he isn’t stretched out enough while Mendoza is, but Vin hasn’t had more than 5 IP in him this year either.

Or if the top of the order managed to put some decent runs on the board early in the game again it was down to the lower order this time the #9 hitter Quintero who shot the two run single which you should expect to get from one of the big guns!
