Nice to see Chen bounce back with a decent start, and great to see the boys get a series win. Consecutive game saves for Broxton too, always an issue when returning from injury. Overall, encouraging, and fun to watch.

I am not up on this draft class, but speculation is that DM might take a college pitcher fifth, regardless of talent on the board. Again, not up on the draft class, but drafting out of frustration or panic is never a good thing, and Luke Hochevar is an example of what can happen when you select limited upside college pitchers.

With the draft coming up in the next month, one thing I would like to see Dayton do (but would never do) is draft according to his belief that pitching is the currency of baseball.

So why not use the first ten picks just on pitchers - maybe get five college starters and five high school starters. Once they get assigned to a team, you can assess how many project to make it to the majors. Then you can start trading some excess pitchers in high A or AA ball that can fetch something in return.

The point being is if you wanted to make a run at a big time pitcher like King Felix or whoever is the hot pitcher on the market, you'll have a better chance with excess pitching in the minors to offer.

So Sanchez goes to the DL today. Gio gets called up to fill his spot. Tonight Hosmer will sit, Butler will play first and Gio will be DH. What a strange chain of events. Something looks horribly wrong here.
To Nick Scott from yesterday's comments, David Glass must remove his son from President of Operations as he has admitted to not knowing much about baseball operations. This is one Major thing that David Glass has done to ruin this team is put his family in charge. Then Glass needs to hire a brilliant mind and pay them millions to be President, a person such as Mike Scocia. Look what Texas did when they hired Nolan Ryan as President. Everyone laughed and now Texas is laughing to the Bank and World Series.

Moore is responsible for setting up the roster. Yost has to take that roster and make a lineup. They are both very confused about how to create a Major League roster/lineup. This is why the Royals are very bad!!

First of all, I should be working and preparing a line-up for tonight and welcoming Gio into the clubhouse. But I must reply in this venue why I do what I do.
I told Duffy to throw strikes - he didn't
I told Quintero not to steal - He did it anyway
I told Getz and Escobar to swing away - they didn't
Wait a minute, I just realized nobody is doing what I tell them to. Oh well. I get to go to the games, dress up, cash big paychecks, and travel. It's a good life.

Yost doesn't make the call to bring guys up, that is DM. Yost might make suggestions (I don't know what their dynamic is like in that regard) but the decision is DM's.

Yost calling up Gio proves that he is a Manager scared for his job. No Manager makes daily moves to win one game unless they are afraid of being fired. Yost called up Mazzaro yesterday just to have a long reliever "In Case we Need him tonight". I believe Yost is in the hot seat and he knows it. I also believe that the players are playing STUPID baseball because they want Yost gone.

FB - And you misspelled Salvador and Hosmer. There is no "e" at the end of Sal's name and Hozmer is spelled with an "s". So I guess there were three problems. Fix those and your list should be good.
